Vondelpark: The true art, nature and historic location of Amsterdam

Every tourist that visits Amsterdam most certainly has enjoyed 'The Vondelpark' located in the heart of Amsterdam.

More than a million people visit the Vondelpark every year. 

​

But not many visitors really know the heritage of the Vondelpark, its origin, how the funds were raised, why the park is called ' Vondelpark' , because in its early years in 1864 the park was called differently.  The Vondelpark is also host to a number old and special trees which are rare for the Dutch landscape. 

​

'Holland Heritage' has been actively involved in the marketing, promotion and fundraising for the Vondelpark since 1995 till present. 

​

We have raised in cooperation with the Junior Chambers of Amsterdam over € 350,000 for all kinds of restauration projects in the Vondelpark. 

​

In 2006 we have written,  published and sold an affordable and very informative book about the history and present day Vondelpark. The Net proceeds of the book were donated to the Vondelpark. 

​

We will write and publish an English version of our book. It will be available at the beginning of the season next year. 

​

On the first sundays of every month we give excursions in Dutch people and also in English.  

​

If you wish to book an excursion with a group of more than 7, you can contact us for a date and time. The Net proceeds of the excursion are also donated to the Vondelpark.
